Le Viaduc de Millau

Opened in December 2004, the Millau Viaduc spans the Tarn River valley near Millau. 2,460 meters (8,071 feet) long the road deck is 270 meters (886 feet) above the river.

Pont du Gard

The Pont du Gard spans the Gard River in Vers-Pont-du-Gard. Built by the Roman Empire, there is divided opinion on when the bridge was built. Some think it was built around 19 BC, while others feel it was more likely built at some point during the first century AD.
